Support the setup and rollout of custody services, including safekeeping, settlement, corporate actions and related operational processes.
Assist in preparing and maintaining custody-related procedures, operational guidelines and internal documentation in line with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
Coordinate with internal teams such as Operations, Compliance, Risk, Finance and Technology to support implementation and ongoing service delivery.
Support the onboarding and coordination of external service providers, including sub-custodians and other market counterparties where applicable.
Perform day-to-day custody operations activities, including cash management support, trade settlement follow-up, reconciliation support, issue tracking and process escalation.
Support client onboarding activities and respond to operational queries in a timely manner.
Assist in monitoring corporate actions, settlement status and operational risk items to ensure timely follow-up and resolution.
Participate in system enhancement and digitalisation initiatives, including business requirement gathering, user acceptance testing and process improvement.
Help prepare operational reports, service updates and internal records, including journal entry support where required.
Monitor workflow issues and recommend practical improvements to strengthen controls and operating efficiency.
Perform other duties assigned by the team lead.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in custody.
Working knowledge of custody-related processes, including settlement, reconciliations, corporate actions and client asset handling.
Experience in preparing procedures, operational documents or process workflows would be an advantage.
Good coordination and communication skills, with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders across functions.
Hands-on and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage operational tasks in a controlled and timely manner.
Familiarity with system implementation, UAT, automation initiatives or new process setup would be an advantage.
Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
This role may involve reviewing Chinese-language materials from head office and communicating with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders where business needs require and translation support is not available.
