Job Summary

To lead and strengthen curriculum implementation and pedagogical practices across centres, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning aligned with ECDA frameworks (NEL,EYDF), SPARK 2.0 standards, and organisational values.

The Curriculum Specialist is to be accountable for the quality, consistency, and effective implementation of curriculum and pedagogical practices across centres, ensuring alignment with ECDA frameworks (NEL, EYDF), SPARK 2.0 standards, and organisational values.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Curriculum Leadership

  • Lead implementation and continuous improvement of the organisation's curriculum.
  • Ensure alignment with NEL, EYDF, and developmentally appropriate practices.
  • Guide educators in lesson planning, inquiry-based learning, and curriculum integration.

2. Pedagogical Coaching

  • Conduct classroom observations and provide structured feedback.
  • Coach educators on teaching strategies, classroom management, and differentiation.
  • Model effective teaching and learning practices.

3. Professional Development

  • Design and facilitate training, workshops, and learning communities.
  • Support educators growth through mentoring and reflective practices.

4. Assessment & Quality Assurance

  • Strengthen authentic assessment practices (observations, portfolios, documentation
  • Ensure quality and consistency in children's learning records.
  • Support centres in SPARK accreditation preparation.

5. Centre Support & Collaboration

  • Partner Centre Leaders to enhance curriculum delivery and teaching quality.
  • Support teachers in addressing classroom challenges.
  • Strengthen communication of children's learning with families.

6. Innovation & Improvement

  • Keep abreast of best practices and emerging trends in early childhood education.
  • Introduce innovation approaches to enhance teaching and learning.

Working Conditions

  • 5 day work week: Mon-Fri
  • Location - HQ @ Toa Payoh, 5 Preschools Centre @ Bukit Batok, Clementi, Hougang, Woodlands and Zhenghua

Core Competencies Skills and Attributes:

  • Diploma / Degree in Early Childhood Education (L2 certified).
  • Minimum 5- 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in curriculum planning, coaching, and classroom observation.
  • Leadership or curriculum specialist experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of NEL, EYDF, SPARK 2.0.
  • Ability to coach and mentor educators effectively.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Competent in assessment, documentation, and curriculum design.
  • Experience in SPARK accreditation.
  • Familiarity in digital platforms (e.g., LittleLives)
  • Experience in curriculum innovation.
