Job Description

Summary:

Develop and manage engaging and effective training curricula and content aligned with the SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) framework, ensuring relevance, quality, and compliance with SSG standards and guidelines. This role requires a deep understanding of the SSG framework, adult learning principles, and curriculum design best practices.

Responsibilities:

Curriculum Development & Design:

. Conduct thorough needs analysis to identify skill gaps and learning objectives aligned with industry demands and SSG framework competency standards.

. Design and develop comprehensive training curricula, including learning outcomes, assessment methods, and learning materials.

. Ensure curriculum content is relevant, up-to-date, and aligned with SSG's sector-specific frameworks and national skills initiatives.

. Develop engaging and interactive learning materials, such as presentations, workbooks, online modules, and videos, utilizing various multimedia formats.

. Incorporate adult learning principles and methodologies into curriculum design to maximize learner engagement and knowledge retention.

. Develop and implement assessment strategies to measure learner progress and evaluate the effectiveness of the curriculum.

. Regularly review and update curricula to reflect changes in industry best practices and SSG guidelines.

Content Management & Maintenance:

. Manage the lifecycle of training content, from initial development to ongoing maintenance and updates.

. Ensure all learning materials are accurate, consistent, and compliant with SSG requirements.

. Maintain a central repository of training materials and ensure easy access for instructors and learners.

. Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure accuracy and relevance of content.

. Manage version control and track changes to curriculum and content.

SSG Framework Compliance:

. Maintain a thorough understanding of the SSG framework, including its various components and updates.

. Ensure all curricula and content meet SSG's quality standards and accreditation requirements.

. Work closely with SSG representatives to ensure compliance and seek necessary approvals.

. Stay informed about changes and updates to the SSG framework and adapt curricula accordingly.

Collaboration & Communication:

. Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including instructors, SMEs, and SSG representatives.

. Communicate effectively with stakeholders on curriculum development progress and any challenges encountered.

. Provide training and support to instructors on the use of new curricula and content.

Other Duties:

. Participate in industry events and conferences to stay abreast of current trends and best practices.

. Contribute to the continuous improvement of training programs and processes.

. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

. Bachelor's degree in education, instructional design, or a related field and DACE.

. Proven experience in curriculum development and instructional design.

. Deep understanding of the SkillsFuture Singapore framework and its application.

. Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and methodologies.

. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

. Proficiency in using various multimedia tools and technologies.

. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

. Strong organisational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

. Master's degree in a related field.

. Experience in developing online learning materials.

. Experience working with SSG or other government agencies.

. Certification in instructional design or adult education.
