We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Senior Engineering Manager to help co-lead the next generation of Generative AI Platforms, Infrastructure, and AIOps, based in Singapore. This role is a critical leadership position within a globally distributed organization, partnering closely with senior engineering leadership, architects, and product counterparts to scale highly reliable, production-grade AI systems from early foundations through global adoption. In this role, you will be a senior engineering leader for GenAI platform and infrastructure initiatives, responsible for building, growing, and mentoring high-performing teams of machine learning and infrastructure engineers in Singapore. You will drive strong engineering execution, operational rigor, and technical excellence while contributing to platform strategy and architectural decisions that enable AI systems to operate at Apple scale. You will work closely with platform and infrastructure architects, product leadership, peer engineering managers, and cross-geo partners to establish durable processes, grow technical leadership, and ensure seamless execution across time zones. This role requires a leader who combines strong people management, deep technical judgment, and the ability to deliver at scale within a complex, global engineering environment.

Team Leadership: - Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Machine Learning and Infrastructure Engineers in Singapore, with a focus on growing strong technical leads and future leaders. - Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, continuous learning, and engineering excellence across a globally distributed organization. - Establish streamlined processes, onboard effective tools, and drive thoughtful resource planning to enable teams to do their best work across time zones. - Proactively identify risks and execution issues, define mitigations, and adjust plans to ensure consistent delivery. Business & Technical Leadership: - Possess a strong understanding of Generative AI-powered platforms and systems, including their application within large-scale, production environments. - Demonstrate technical depth across distributed systems, backend services, machine learning platforms, and infrastructure, with the ability to engage hands-on when needed and contribute meaningfully to technical discussions. - Stay current with emerging technologies and architectural patterns, and quickly learn and evaluate new tools and frameworks. - Collaborate closely with Machine Learning, Infrastructure, and Software Engineering teams to anticipate future needs and build scalable, resilient, and future-proof systems. Product development and execution: - Exceptional organizational management and engineering program management skills. - Able to handle multiple simultaneous GenAI product development in a Startup environment with frequent pivot - Set clear engineering goals and priorities for the Channel Sales AIML Platform, Infra and AIOps to ensure scalability and reliability. - Create compelling product documentation and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. - Deep understanding of Machine Learning and Software Development and a strong interest in user experience Lead cross-functional business & engineering collaboration: - Identify and resolve conflicts, inter-dependencies, and alignment issues quickly and effectively - Build relationships and collaboration opportunities within Channel Sales and with other orgs i.e AIML, SWE etc Performance Management - Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure performance of AI Powered products - Monitor and analyze performance data, providing key insights and recommendations for continuous improvement - Advocate for data-driven decision making across the organization.

Minimum Qualifications
10+ years of experience in Machine Learning and Software Engineering experiences with successful launch of large scale consumer facing Commerce products WW
5+ years leading Machine Learning, Infra and AIOps teams and managing direct reports
Successful track record of working closely with design and engineering teams during the full GenAI/LLM product lifecycle, including research, planning, implementation and launch
Experience positioning and launching of new AI powered products
Extraordinary verbal and written communication skills
Ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience
Demonstrated ability to develop compelling talking points and stories about new AI powered product and technologies for a broad audience including internal/external stakeholders, leaderships, users etc
Strong experience leading cross-functional initiatives with a clear impact on the direction of products
Strong organizational skills, able to handle ambiguity with experience in thriving in a startup environment within a large organization
Strong python and software development coding experience
Demonstrates attention to detail and enjoys both hands-on work and high-level strategic thinking

Education
Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning or a related technical field

Experience
Experienced building new relationships and collaboration within Apple teams in different orgs with official leadership visibility to help accelerate technology or product development
Deep understanding of Apple Culture, Tools & Process, providing new team members with the ability to thrive at Apple
Experienced setting up new process, tools, KPIs from ground up
