A CSE Engineer, Solution provides technical expertise to the sales team, understands customer needs and transforms these needs into optimal KONE solutions.
CSE Engineer, Solution is part of the KONE early engagement team, and ensures that KONE offerings and specifications are included into the customer's building specifications.
CSE Engineer, Solution works at the customer interface, is an expert on solution selling and participates in customer meetings when needed.
CSE Engineer, Solution takes into consideration all product and service costing and planning aspects when defining a solution e.g. corporate materials from the supply line, local materials from sourcing, costing of engineering, installation and impact on maintenance.
What will you be doing
Collaboration with sales:
- Responsible for finding optimal technical solutionsto meetthecustomer's needs for non-standard and modernisation cases
- Ensures clarity onthesolution'sscope, including KONE and possiblethird-party offerings
- Participatesincustomer meetings and answers customers technical questions when needed
- Selects the correct product platformon which to make the offering
- Proposes solutions from all KONE business lines new services, escalators, elevators, doors etc.
Solutionplanning-Costing:
- Responsible for correct APF solution costings
- InvolvesCSE Engineer, Product to understand thecosting for corporate and local materials
- Involves CSE Engineer, System to understand the costing for integrations
- InvolvesSupply Line, installation, maintenance and project management to understand boththematerialsandtheservice cost of the solution
Solutionplanning-Specs:
- Coordinates specification creation
- Performs initial and revised non-standard energy calculations
- Performs traffic analyses
- Accountable for technical site surveys
- Accountablefor thetechnical content of the order between MS 0b and MS 2z
Solutionplanning-Availability and lead times
- Coordinates solution lead times from Supply Line and local sourcing
Solutionplanning-Installability
- Ensures that the proposed solution can be installed
- Ensuresthat thecost and work effort impact of installation is part ofthesolution'scosting, especially in non-standard installation methodcases
Solutionplanning-Maintainability
- Ensures that the proposed solutionfulfilsthe customer'sproduct lifecycleneeds
- Identifies possible deviationsfromstandard maintenance methods and ensuresthat aresolution is found
Solutionplanning-Compliance
- Ensures that the proposed solution fulfils local codes, regulations and safety requirements
- Ensuresalignment withenvironmental regulations
- Ensures that the planned solution complies with KONE engineering policy
Key tasks intheKONE Sales process
- Provides contentforpre-tender and pre-booking reviews (technical solutions, costs, lead times, risks,verification oftechnical content in contracts)
- Executes activities foraholisticsolutionplan
- Leads full chain engineering teams on major projectsuntil handover totheCSE Engineer, Project
- Hands over the engineering to CSE Engineer, Project onthemost complex project cases for executionon the Start-up meeting

- Accountable forlayoutcreation

- Providesnecessarydetails to the CSE Specialistforordering materials and completing the documentationprocess

- Provides solution-related information to Project Managers,Installation Supervisorsand Maintenance Supervisors

- Provides technical trainings to Sales, Installation and Maintenance as per Front Line needs
- Offers input totheproductoffering management about customisation, standardisation and interface requirementsfor the portfolio

- Contributetoand utilisetheCustomerSolutionsEngineering case library
- Handles engineering on Modernisation (MOD) including component upgrades (small VB repairs), full replacement (FBR) or existing building lifts (EBULI)
- Is the primaryfrontline technical contact personfor theSupply Line Tendering Engineers
