About the Role
The role is with a Crypto native client, involves key responsibilities in deal sourcing, due diligence, thesis development, portfolio support, network building, and internal collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Deal Sourcing: Identify and develop relationships with promising early-stage founders and projects across the crypto landscape.
- Due Diligence: Conduct technical, market, and tokenomic analyses to evaluate investment opportunities.
- Thesis Development: Research emerging trends, develop investment theses, and contribute to firm-wide perspectives on areas like L2s, zero-knowledge proofs, decentralized infrastructure, etc.
- Portfolio Support: Work closely with portfolio companies on strategic growth, token design, go-to-market strategies, fundraising, and community building.
- Network Building: Represent the firm at conferences, demo days, hackathons, and within online crypto communities (e.g., Twitter, Discord, Telegram).
- Internal Collaboration: Contribute to pipeline meetings, IC memos, and cross-functional initiatives across the firm.
Qualifications
- 25 years of experience in VC, crypto investing, product, or startup operationspreferably within the Web3 space.
- Strong network in the crypto/web3 community as well as the TradFi/web2/Global markets industry.
- A strong strategic and analytical mindset, a deep understanding of technical insight and market narratives, a solid grasp of the internal dynamics of the crypto industry and ability to synthesize technical and market information into actionable insights.
- Experience in collaborating with other investors, and the ability to build and nurture strong relationships with entrepreneurs.
- Deep curiosity about decentralized technology and strong familiarity with blockchain ecosystems, tokens, DAOs, and smart contracts.
Location: Can be remote anywhere in Asia/US for the right candidate
