Job Description
Job Title: Critical Facilities Manager
Location: Singapore
Industry: Data Center / Digital Infrastructure
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily facility operations to maintain optimal health and performance of all critical systems
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate planned and unplanned maintenance activities to ensure minimal impact on operational continuity.
- Create and maintain Method of Procedures (MOPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs) to ensure operational consistency and safety.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards including ASHRAE, NFPA, IEEE, and manufacturer specifications to uphold facility integrity.
- Lead incident response efforts by conducting root-cause analysis and driving resolution for facility-related events.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation to support audits, certifications, and regulatory inspections.
- Support Senior Operations Manager in incident management, including follow-up actions and closure reporting.
- Manage third-party service providers by monitoring quality, safety, and adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Optimize energy consumption and contribute to sustainability initiatives to enhance facility efficiency.
- Execute incident management processes including logging, troubleshooting, escalation, stakeholder communication, resolution, recovery, documentation, and closure reporting.
- Handle change requests by assessing impact and risk, managing approval processes, planning and scheduling implementation, coordinating execution, verifying outcomes, and documenting closure.
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field.
- 4–8 years of experience in data center, mission critical, or telecommunications environments
- Strong understanding of Tier standards (Uptime Institute Tier II–IV).
- Proficiency in Building Management Systems (BMS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS), or knowledge of Electrical Single Line and Mechanical schematics.
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Demonstrated troubleshooting and incident management skills in facility operations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
