A leading provider of offshore marine assets and services providing offshore support services such as offshore construction support, towing, anchor-handling, supply of deck, liquid and dry bulk cargoes and field support services.
The Crewing Manager is overall-in-charge all aspects of crew management for the company's offshore support vessels (OSVs) including JV and associate vessels in the fleet.
Responsibilities
- Lead crew recruitment, deployment, and scheduling to maintain optimal staffing levels for offshore support vessels
- Ensure full compliance with international maritime regulations and certifications including MLC, STCW, and flag state requirements
- Manage crew certification, documentation, and oversee continuous crew training and professional development programs
- Safeguard crew welfare by implementing retention strategies and promoting health and well-being onboard vessels
- Handle crew P&I matters, including managing crew claims, incident investigations, and insurer liaison
- Collaborate with operations, technical, commercial, and HSE teams to enhance crew performance and retention
- Develop and manage crew department budgets and control costs effectively
- Lead emergency response and crisis management efforts related to crew and vessel safety
Required competencies and certifications
- Strong knowledge of STCW, MLC, Flag State, and international maritime regulations
- Minimum 5 years of experience in crew management within the offshore or maritime industry
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Maritime Studies, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience working with offshore support vessels (OSVs), dynamic positioning (DP) vessels, and other specialized offshore assets
- Proficiency in crew management software and digital HR tools
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure and make timely decisions
