Role Summary

The role would be to support the Global Markets Singapore in the marketing and development of global market products to the Financial Institutions (FI) client business in APAC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with syndicates, trading and structuring team to gather latest product info and prepare marketing messages for day-to-day interactions with clients.
  • Assist credit sales team in prospecting potential clients and provide strong support to the GMD teams in areas of cross-sell.
  • Be equipped to assist in responding to enquiries pertaining to Credit, Treasury, Interest rates products and across the spectrum of cash and derivatives.
  • Onboard new clients – KYC, account opening, get credit limits.
  • Be the key front office representative throughout the trade cycle for clients and middle office and back office, being able to assess and handle settlement matters independently and escalate if needed.
  • Familiarize with clients interests and settlement requirements.
  • Support business development projects: for example, market research, data analysis, presentation material production, spreadsheet improvements etc.
  • Any other duties assigned by reporting manager.

Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities

  • Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the Singapore Compliance manual and Compliance policies and procedures as issued from time to time; Financial Security requirements, including, but not limited to, the prevention of Financial Crime and Fraud including reporting obligations to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer.
  • Comply with Local regulatory ratios.
  • Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role
  • Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence.

Role requirements

  • Graduates with a Bachelor's in Banking and Finance, STEM or any other relevant specializations.
  • Experience with Investment sell side preferred, Credit related products a plus.
  • Highly motivated individual who could manage independently while working closely with a team to facilitate information flow.
  • Good presentation, communication, problem solving skills.
  • A proactive learner and self-starter seeking continuous improvement in all job-related aspects.

Candidates who are applying for Trainee Officer positions should have less than 2 years of full-time working experience.
