Credit Risk - Global Bank - Singapore

A global bank is seeking an experienced Credit Risk professional to join its Risk Management team in Singapore. This role supports the Asia Pacific corporate credit portfolio, providing independent risk oversight, portfolio management, and strategic input to support regional business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee a portfolio of APAC corporate credits within the Bank's Risk Management Framework, supporting regional business objectives.

• Provide independent credit risk assessment and effective challenge on underwriting and adjudication matters, covering credit, market, and industry risks.

• Monitor portfolio trends, credit metrics, watchlist accounts, and emerging risks, with timely escalation and mitigation recommendations.

• Contribute to regional initiatives including credit risk stress testing, ESG and climate risk assessment, and implementation of global and local credit policies.

• Partner closely with front office, APAC management, and Head Office risk teams to ensure strong governance, risk discipline, and decision-making.

Requirements

• Solid experience in Credit Risk Management within Corporate or Investment Banking, with exposure to APAC portfolios.

• Strong understanding of corporate credit underwriting, portfolio risk management, and problem loan / watchlist monitoring.

• Experience providing independent risk challenge and engaging senior stakeholders across regional and global teams.

• Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret credit metrics, trends, and stress testing outputs.

• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
