Credit Risk Analyst (Commodities / MNC)

Our client is a leading Commodities multinational firm, actively recruiting for a Credit Risk Analyst to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and approve counterparty credit limits for commodity trading activities
• Perform financial analysis on traders, suppliers, and customers
• Monitor credit exposure, utilisation, and limit breaches on a daily basis
• Review financial statements, market intelligence, and credit reports
• Support deal structuring by advising on credit risk and mitigation tools
• Recommend risk mitigants such as LC terms, prepayments, or collateral
• Prepare credit papers and present recommendations to credit committee
• Track counterparty performance and early warning indicators
• Work closely with Trading, Finance, and Legal teams on risk matters

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Credit Risk Analyst, preferably in commodities trading
• Strong financial statement analysis and counterparty risk assessment skills
• Familiar with trade finance instruments (e.g. LCs, guarantees, prepayments)
• Comfortable working with trading desks and fast-paced environments
• Proficient in Excel and credit risk reporting
