Job Description

Key Responsibilities

JOB DESCRIPTION

Documentation Review & Portfolio Monitoring

  • Review credit documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with approved credit terms
  • Conduct periodic reviews of Commercial Banking credit portfolios to assess portfolio credit health, documentation completeness, and policy compliance
  • Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs), covenant compliance, and early warning signals across client segments
  • Validate portfolio data accuracy and ensure alignment with approved credit terms and conditions

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Monitor adherence to internal credit policies and external regulatory requirements
  • Identify and monitor documentation gaps, escalate issues and emerging risks to relevant stakeholders

Process Optimization

  • Assist in initiatives to digitize and automate documentation workflows, reducing manual errors and improving turnaround times
  • Monitor industry trends and regulatory developments to proactively adapt and improve portfolio management practices
  • Monitor the turn-around-time for each stage of the end-to-end process, and tracking mechanisms necessary to ensure adherence
  • Deep-dive and provide actionable insights on overall CMBS portfolio

Audit & Reporting

  • Support internal and external audits by providing portfolio insights, documentation and responding to queries
  • Maintain accurate records and generate periodic reports on documentation status and exceptions
  • Prepare regular portfolio assurance reports highlighting trends, exceptions, and risk concentrations

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with Relationship Managers, Credit Analysts, Legal, and Operations to ensure documentation is fit-for-purpose and aligned with client needs
  • Provide subject matter expertise and training to internal teams on documentation standards and regulatory changes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Law, or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in credit documentation, credit operations, or risk assurance
  • Strong understanding of credit products, lending processes, and regulatory requirements
  • Understanding of commercial banking products, credit structures, and portfolio dynamics
  • Knowledge of credit documentation standards and covenant monitoring
  • Technical understanding of Credit documentation and end to end process
  • Strong analytical skill and eye for detail
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Independent, versatile and able to perform under pressure
  • Knowledge of Commercial Banking business practices, processes and procedures
  • Experience with digital documentation platforms and data governance tools
  • Good communication skills, written and spoken with the ability to communicate at all levels
