Job Description

An established corporate bank is seeking an experienced Credit Analyst. This role supports the bank's Corporate Banking business by providing independent credit assessment, deal structuring support, and execution oversight for complex lending transactions, while ensuring strong risk discipline and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive credit analysis and financial assessment for Commercial & Corporate Banking clients, supporting new transactions, renewals, and amendments.
  • Structure and evaluate credit proposals, including pricing, covenants, and risk mitigants, in close partnership with Origination teams.
  • Prepare clear and well-reasoned credit papers, articulating risk considerations and recommendations for internal credit approval.
  • Coordinate with Risk Management and internal stakeholders throughout the credit approval and execution process to ensure timely and accurate deal delivery.
  • Support the ongoing management of the credit portfolio by monitoring compliance with approval conditions, covenants, and reporting requirements, and escalating emerging risks where appropriate.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure all credit activities adhere to internal credit policies, regulatory requirements, and the bank's risk appetite.
  • Review client account activity to ensure alignment with stated business profiles and expected transaction behavior.
  • Support AML/KYC requirements, including follow-up on unusual transactions and provision of information for compliance reviews where required.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in Credit Analysis or Credit Execution within Corporate Banking.
  • Strong understanding of corporate lending structures, credit risk assessment, and financial statement analysis.
  • Familiarity with regulatory, legal, and industry risk considerations impacting corporate credit decisions.
  • Highly analytical, organised, and detail-oriented, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work independently while collaborating closely with front office, risk, and control teams.
