Responsibilities
Review of spreading for balance sheet, profit/loss and cashflow statement, provide evaluation of financial standings of prospective clients and existing borrowers
Review of credit applications and annual credit reviews, including credit rating for each borrower for approval
Provide independent credit assessment and recommendation and ensure compliance against the Branchs credit policies and procedures
To work closely with relevant internal stakeholders to achieve business needs within risk appetite
Conduct in-depth research on key industries and formulate branch industry credit policies.
Monitor the performance of corporate loan portfolios to ensure they comply with the bank-wide credit risk strategies
Reviewing and validating credit decision process and credit modelling and identifying areas for improvements
Formulate or update branch internal policies and procedures according to HO policies, internal & external audit requirements, as well as regulatory mandate.
Address issues raised by auditors and MAS relating to credit matters
Undertake ad-hoc projects and other duties assigned by Deputy Head of Department from time to time
Requirements
A recognized degree
Minimum 10 years of credit risk experience on Banking or credit rating agency
Experienced in structured trade and commodity finance, project finance (not limited to aircraft/shipping leasing, transportation, logistic)
Familiar with the laws and regulations in Singapore and ASEAN region
Excellent communication skills
Fluency in English and Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin speaking Head Office colleagues.
Ability to work independently
Able to work under pressure
