About the Role
The Creative Strategist is the link between editorial vision and how it shows up on screen. This role shapes the creative direction of tentpole shows and feature projects, builds playbooks and best practices, and ensures our slate is aligned with SPH Media's editorial goals and priorities.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Partner with editors, showrunners and producers to translate editorial goals into clear creative strategies for shows, franchises and specials.
- Develop and maintain show playbooks (format bibles, tone, recurring segments, audience promise, visual and editorial guardrails) for each tentpole show.
- Set priorities across the Creative Bureau slate, helping to decide which ideas to develop, pause or sunset.
- Use audience insights, platform data and editorial feedback to refine formats, segments and series over time.
- Facilitate ideation sessions with creatives, editors, talent and producers to generate and sharpen show concepts.
- Ensure cohesion across touchpoints (on-air, digital, social, events) while respecting each brand's identity and editorial line.
- Work closely with Project Management and Studio+65 production teams to scope ambition vs. resources, and ensure creative intent survives into execution.
Who We Are Looking For
- 5+ years in strategy, creative development or editorial roles in media, broadcast, publishing or creative agencies.
- Strong understanding of news, lifestyle and feature storytelling in a Singapore/ASEAN context.
- Proven experience shaping or managing recurring series / formats.
- Comfortable working with data and insights without losing creative instinct.
- Excellent facilitator and communicator; able to align multiple stakeholders and keep the why clear for everyone.
