Our client is a Global Freight Forwarding Industry. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for a Country Operation Manager (Air Freight) to join their team, in hopes of developing the current high performing team. They are located in the Central.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and guide the customer service team to ensure smooth operations.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring service excellence.
- Oversee shipment coordination, including booking, tracking, and timely delivery.
- Work closely with internal teams and carriers to resolve logistics challenges.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Analyze service performance and customer feedback for continuous improvement.
- Provide training and guidance on freight operations, customer service, and regulations.
- Prepare reports on operations, service quality, and performance metrics.
- Use data insights to drive strategic decision-making.
- Negotiate with shipping and airline partners to optimize trade routes.
- Strengthen relationships with carriers, vendors, and agents.
- Plan and implement trade lane strategies to maximize profitability.
- Develop pricing strategies to drive business growth.
- Manage budgets, control costs, and ensure financial accountability.
- Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Min Diploma in logistics/supply chain studies or equivalent.
- Min 8 years relevant working experience in freight forwarding, import/export operations, or logistics.
- Experience with CargoWise would be advantageous.
