LiT Strategy is seeking a Country Manager (Singapore) to lead an entity's initial market entry and execute commercial operations on the ground within the apparel and textiles sector in Singapore.
This role is for an operator, not a passive manager. The successful candidate will be directly responsible for building revenue, securing customers, managing deals end-to-end, and establishing the organisation's local footprint in Singapore. You will be the first key hire in-market and are expected to both think and execute.
Key Responsibilities
Hands-On Business Development & Sales
Personally drive customer acquisition and revenue generation in Singapore.
Prospect, pitch, negotiate, and close deals directly with:
SME mono-label apparel brands
Emerging and newly incorporated fashion businesses
Distributors and B2B / B2B2C customers
Own the full sales cycle from lead generation to order confirmation.
Market Entry Execution
Execute the organisation's Singapore market entry strategy on the ground.
Build the initial customer base and commercial traction from zero.
Validate pricing, MOQs, lead times, and product-market fit through real customer engagements.
Customer & Order Management
Act as the primary point of contact for Singapore-based and regional customers.
Translate customer requirements into clear briefs for the organisation's regional manufacturing and sourcing teams.
Coordinate orders, timelines, and delivery expectations to ensure customer satisfaction.
Local Operations Setup
Support the setup of basic local commercial processes (quotations, contracts, order workflows).
Provide continuous market feedback on competitor pricing, customer expectations, and demand trends.
Identify early operational gaps and work with management to resolve them pragmatically.
Experience
7-12 years of relevant experience in apparel, textiles, uniforms, sourcing, or related B2B industries.
Demonstrated hands-on sales and execution experience - not purely strategic or advisory roles.
Prior experience operating independently or as an early hire in a market is strongly preferred.
Capabilities
Proven ability to hunt, sell, and close deals personally.
Strong understanding of Singapore's apparel / uniform / B2B sourcing landscape.
Comfortable managing ambiguity, limited structure, and fast-moving priorities.
Mindset & Attributes
Execution-first, ownership-driven, and commercially minded.
Willing to roll up sleeves and operate without support teams initially.
