About the Role
We are hiring a detail-oriented Senior Costing Specialist to support the full costing lifecycle within a high-precision equipment manufacturing environment. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate cost estimation, analysis, and optimization for complex engineered systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end equipment costing, including materials, fabrication, machining, assembly, and overhead allocation
- Develop and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and routing structures
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for RFQs, tenders, and new product introductions
- Conduct cost breakdown analysis for mechanical and electro-mechanical components
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to validate cost assumptions
- Perform variance analysis between estimated and actual costs
- Support pricing strategies and margin analysis
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements
- Ensure accuracy of costing data within ERP systems
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
- 7-10 years of experience in costing within equipment or machinery manufacturing (must-have)
- Candidates from high-precision or advanced manufacturing environments such as:
- semiconductor-related equipment
- automation / robotics
- precision engineering
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, fabrication, assembly)
- Experience in BOM costing, routing, and standard costing methodologies
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP / Oracle preferred)
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
