Costing Engineer

This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive quotations for Gas Delivery components and systems for both internal and external customers. Analyze multi-level Bills of Materials (BOMs), review engineering drawings and specifications, and develop cost estimates using Oracle, Agile, and Excel.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment, proficiency in ERP systems, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Quote and prepare competitive bids for orders and new projects

• Prepares Quotes and Cost Estimates

• Apply pricing standards/models to costs

• Work with Engineering / Manufacturing to determine material requirements and manufacturing processes needed to complete quotes/orders

• Work with Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales, and/or other departments to determine methods and pricing for new products

• Maintain effective contact with customers

• Provide input and feedback on issues relevant to customer programs

• Work independently with moderate supervision

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of Quoting or equivalent work experience

• B.S. or equivalent work experience or any combination of education and experience

• Experience managing multi-level Bills of Material (BOMs) in a complex manufacturing environment, preferably within semiconductor or equipment assembly industries. Exposure to Gas Box Assembly would be an added advantage.

• Experience reading/using/understanding Engineering prints/drawings/documents

• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills including but not limited to Vlookups, Pivot Tables, VBA

• Excellent analytical and mathematics skills

• Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills

• Solid Knowledge of MRP, Oracle and Agile systems
