Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 830-530PM
We are looking for an experienced Cost Accountant (Inventory) to oversee product costing accuracy, inventory control, and stock integrity across retail stores and warehouses.
This role plays a key part in driving margin performance, inventory optimization, and operational efficiency within a multi-store retail environment.
Maintain accurate product costing (purchase cost, freight, markdowns, promotions).
Monitor gross margin and analyze cost/margin variances.
Support pricing reviews, promotions, clearance, warehouse sales and retail events.
Ensure landed costs are updated accurately and timely in system.
Partner with Merchandising and Operations on pricing strategies.
Ensure inventory accuracy across stores and warehouse.
Monitor aged, slow-moving and obsolete stock.
Lead stock counts, cycle counts and annual inventory exercises.
Investigate stock discrepancies, shrinkage and write-offs.
Support stock planning for promotional and clearance activities.
Prepare inventory, aging and margin analysis reports.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
Support audit requirements relating to inventory and costing.
Maintain accurate inventory and costing data in SAP / LS Retail.
Drive continuous process improvements in stock management.
Work closely with IT and Operations to resolve system discrepancies.
Diploma or Degree in Accounting or related field
Minimum 3-5 years experience in costing & inventory management
Strong knowledge of retail inventory flows and costing structure
Hands-on experience with SAP and LS Retail
Advanced Excel skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
