You will be expected to develop and write longform features and columns for CNA TODAY, the weekend publication of CNA Digital.
This will involve coming up with a steady stream of ideas for in-depth features, profile stories and utility columns that would fit into our sections, such as Big Read, Up Close, Ground Up and Adulting.
You will then work with the editors to finesse these ideas and conduct the necessary reporting to execute them within deadline.
You will have to gather and verify information through interviews, observation and research and put the information together into a coherent story.
You will be expected to apply your expertise and analytical skills to the tasks above, to deliver comprehensive and insightful pieces for our readers.
Qualifications
A sharp news sense, with a good knowledge of local news and current affairs.
A flair for writing and story-telling, with excellent command of the English language. Abilities in other languages will be considered an advantage.
Ability to exercise individual judgment and think on your feet in a variety of scenarios.
Good organizational and time management skills and an ability to work well under pressure to meet weekly deadlines.
Good analytical skills, initiative and resourcefulness.
Be prepared to work irregular hours and weekends
Good degree preferably in Economics, Political Science, Arts & Social Science, Journalism or Mass Communication
