Key Responsibilities:

Financial Services sit at the heart of Singapore's economy. Tax plays a critical role in shaping how banks, insurers, and asset managers grow, invest, and innovate across borders.

As a Corporate Tax Associate in Financial Services, you will work alongside some of the most respected tax advisors in the region and globally, supporting leading global and local institutions on the tax matters that drive their strategy and competitive edge. You will build deep expertise across asset and wealth management, banking, capital markets, and insurance, while sharpening your commercial instincts. This role offers a world-class foundation that opens doors to a rewarding, long-term career in tax advisory and beyond.

You will work within a high-performing team to deliver impact-driven tax compliance and advisory services to financial services clients across the region. Under the guidance of experienced team leaders, your responsibilities will include:

  • Tax Compliance: Assist in delivering comprehensive and high-quality corporate tax compliance services for a diverse portfolio of financial services corporate clients.
  • Tax Advisory: Contribute to tax advisory engagements by performing research and assisting in the drafting of practical tax solutions for complex cross-border transactions.
  • Tax Disputes & Resolution: Support clients through tax inquiries and disputes with tax authorities by helping draft clear, well-reasoned, and technically sound responses.
  • Business Development: Support senior team members in drafting proposals and client pitches, contributing fresh ideas and market insights.
  • Engagement Excellence: Assist with project management, tracking delivery milestones, and managing budgets to ensure outstanding client service.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with colleagues across Assurance, Tax, Deals, Consulting, and our global member network on multi-disciplinary engagements.
  • Digital Transformation: Leverage digital tax tools, data analytics, and AI-enabled platforms to automate processes and enhance delivery efficiency.

What we are looking for:

  • Academic Background - Final-year students in Accountancy, Business, Economics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Law from local or overseas universities.
  • Diverse perspectives - Students from adjacent disciplines with a strong demonstrated interest in tax, financial services, or business advisory are equally welcome to apply.
  • Track Record - A strong academic record coupled with active participation in co-curricular activities that demonstrate leadership, teamwork, and initiative.
  • Communication Skills - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to collaborate effectively with teammates and client stakeholders.
  • Adaptability - The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and intellectually challenging environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Analytical Mindset - Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex regulations into clear, actionable business insights.
