Key Responsibilities

  • Support the holding company in overseeing and strengthening the business operations of multiple subsidiaries across Singapore and Australia
  • Participate in monthly board meetings and annual business planning processes for multiple subsidiaries.
  • Review business performance, KPIs, and strategic initiatives of each subsidiary
  • Conduct detailed analysis of each subsidiary's business plans and operational performance
  • Provide constructive feedback, critical insights, and strategic perspectives to management teams of each subsidiary
  • Identify potential risks, growth opportunities, and areas for operational improvement
  • Facilitate strategic discussions and challenge assumptions to help management teams refine their strategies
  • Support the development and execution of group-level strategies and initiatives
  • Collaborate with subsidiary leadership teams to ensure alignment with group objectives
  • Prepare presentations and reports for executive management and board meetings with HQ in Japan
  • Monitor market trends and competitive dynamics within the HR services / recruitment industry
  • Contribute to strengthening governance, reporting frameworks, and performance management across the group

Requirements

[MUST]

  • 510+ years of experience in the HR services / Recruitment/ Staffing industry
  • Fluent in Japanese language in order to liaise with Japanese stakeholders in Japan HQ
  • Experience working in regional or cross-border business environments with multicultural and international teams
  • Experience managing a team (even small teams of several members is acceptable)
  • Ability to review and analyse business performance and operational strategies
  • Strong financial literacy (P&L understanding, KPI analysis, business performance evaluation)
  • Experience participating in or supporting business planning processes
  • Strong stakeholder management skills when working with senior leaders
  • Experience preparing management reports and presentations for senior executives or board meetings

Soft Skill:

  • A great communication skills (both written and verbal) to liaise with COEs and management teams
  • Strong logical thinking and ability to ask critical questions to management teams
  • Strategic thinking capability with the ability to identify business improvement opportunities
  • Ability to influence and challenge business leaders constructively
  • High level of independence and ability to work with limited supervision

[Advantage]

  • Experience in M&A evaluation, PMI, or new market expansion will have a distinct advantage
  • Experience in consulting, business strategy, or corporate planning will have a distinct advantage
  • Experience working in a holding company or regional headquarters structure will have a distinct advantage
