Essential Job Functions:
The Manager (Corporate Planning) is responsible, but not limited to, the following:
a. Financial Reports
- Initiate financial projection and forecast: Award, Work in Progress, G&A, Other Income/Expense and Cash Flow
- Review current and past financial data and performance
- Review complicated financial factors and develop a logical structure to support projections and forecasts
- Review any supporting material to give a concise presentation
- Coordinate HQ's request
- Initiate any material to satisfy various purposes as required
- Report to Senior Manager and Management on monthly or required basis
b. Corporate Planning
- Initiate corporate business strategy for Parent Company
- Incorporate information obtained from others sections into the business plan
- Develop presentation material for Management
c. Internal Control
- Coordinate all sections to satisfy an audit conducted by HQ
d. Other Corporate Tasks
- Coordinate Annual Meetings, Board of Directors and Management Meetings
- Review minutes for these meetings
- Analyse economic data from BCA and any other resource
e. AIOC
- Control the partner to obtain financial information
- Report to HQ
f. Obayashi Corporation Civil Tender
- Create Board Meeting Material and Request for Approval
Minimum Qualifications/ Job Experience:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences, Accounting or Finance
- At least 5 years to handle Financial Statements, Taxes and Audit
- At least 3 years to handle reporting for Japanese HQ
- Certificate of Accountant or equivalent, ideally
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skill and ability to adopt to any software and system to maintain financial data and to create financial reports
- Strong skill in initiating a financial projection
- Strong skill in analysing financial current and past data
- Strong skill in organizing various resources of information
- Strong ability to simplify complicated factors and give a logical presentation by a concise material
- Strong Time Management in multiple tasks concurrently required
- Strong skill in documentation
- Good ability to build up a long-term relationship with various stakeholders
- Basic knowledge of commercial and construction contract law, ideally
- Excellent verbal and written communication skill in English and Japanese
