Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a Corporate Planning Assistant Manager to support the growth and expansion of Daigas Group's overseas energy business across Asia. This role plays a key part in strategic planning, business management, and project execution, with a focus on renewable energy and decarbonization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Market & External Analysis

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies in renewable energy and decarbonization across Asia.
  • Identify business opportunities and potential risks to support management decision-making.

Internal Business Monitoring

  • Monitor performance and operational issues of invested businesses across Asia (including minority stakes).
  • Prepare timely and accurate reports for senior management.

Corporate Management Support

  • Support the management of group entities.
  • Provide insights and updates to facilitate effective and timely business decisions.

Project & Investment Management

  • Support new investment initiatives and divestment processes.
  • Coordinate company setup and closure procedures.
  • Assist with due diligence (DD) activities by preparing relevant documentation and materials.

Requirements

  • Degree in Business, Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate planning or a related field (experience in asset management or energy projects preferred).
  • Proficiency in English and Japanese (both written and reading) to effectively liaise with Japanese headquarters and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong process discipline and accuracy.
