Our client is seeking a commercially minded Corporate Counsel to join a high-performing Legal & Compliance team. This is a strategic role supporting the General Counsel on a broad range of transactional, commercial, and corporate matters across the business. It's an excellent opportunity for a strong allrounder who enjoys working closely with the business and being involved in meaningful, impactful work.
Responsibilities of this Corporate Legal Counsel:
- Support the General Counsel on complex transactions, projects, and new business initiatives.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including services and consultancy contracts, NDAs, MOUs, collaboration/JV documents, and other project-related agreements.
- Advise on key commercial contracts relating to the company's operations and service offerings.
- Lead the review and negotiation of procurement and vendor contracts such as tender documents, purchase orders, and supply agreements.
- Provide day-to-day legal support on corporate, employment, disputes, and general advisory matters.
- Support legal operations including contract management, governance, and internal processes.
- Conduct legal training and help strengthen legal awareness across the organisation.
Experience & Requirements of this Corporate Legal Counsel:
- 10+ years PQE, admitted to the Singapore Bar (or a commonlaw jurisdiction).
- At least 3 years of prior law firm and/or inhouse experience, ideally with exposure to project development or complex commercial work.
- Experience in M&A or financing transactions is advantageous.
- Industry experience in infrastructure, energy, or related sectors is a plus, but not essential.
