Corporate Legal Counsel

About the Role

We are looking for a thoughtful, commercially minded lawyer to join our Legal team and support procurement and strategic contracting across JAPAC and the U.S.

You will advise on a broad range of commercial transactions, including agreements involving technology, AI-enabled services, professional services, marketing, facilities, and other critical business functions. You will work closely with Procurement and cross-functional Legal partners to help the business move with speed and confidence while navigating legal, regulatory, and commercial risk.

This role is well suited to someone who combines strong legal judgment with pragmatism, enjoys working on complex cross-border matters, and is comfortable operating independently in a fast-moving global environment.

What You'll Do

• Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of a broad portfolio of procurement and commercial agreements across JAPAC and the U.S.
• Advise on transactions involving AI-enabled technology, software and services, professional services, marketing, facilities, events, and other strategic supplier relationships.
• Partner with Procurement and business teams to identify key legal and commercial risks and develop practical, proportionate solutions.
• Collaborate with specialists across Privacy, Security, Corporate Legal, and local Legal teams on complex or cross-functional matters.
• Own transactions from initial engagement through execution, balancing legal quality, business priorities, and speed.
• Exercise judgment on when to escalate, when to accept risk, and where negotiation effort will have the greatest impact.
• Contribute to contract playbooks, negotiation standards, templates, and process improvements that make contracting more scalable and efficient.
• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders and communicate legal advice in a clear, concise, and commercially relevant way.

What You'll Need

• 5+ years of relevant legal experience, ideally including commercial contracting, procurement, technology, or corporate transactions.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills across a range of commercial agreements.
• Excellent legal and commercial judgment, with the ability to distinguish material risks from lower-value issues.
• A practical, solutions-oriented approach to legal advice.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence and advise non-legal stakeholders at different levels of the organisation.
• Experience managing multiple complex matters independently and across regions or time zones.
• High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a high degree of ownership.
• A collaborative working style and comfort operating within a global, cross-functional organisation.
