We are a boutique general insurance brokerage. Providing multi-specialty insurance solutions along with deep yet clear advisory to over 1000+ Startups, SMEs, Unicorns & Regional MNCS clients in Singapore and across Asia.

Job Summary

This client-facing role involves managing a portfolio of commercial SME clients, primarily startups and SMEs in Singapore. You will support clients in reviewing coverage, negotiating renewals, and assisting with claims and operational requests to ensure seamless insurance service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of SME and startup clients by reviewing their insurance coverage and advising on appropriate policies aligned with their business needs
  • Lead negotiations with multiple insurers to secure competitive renewal terms and prepare detailed, accurate comparisons of insurance quotes
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing insurance inquiries promptly and providing clear explanations of coverage, renewal timelines, regulatory and contractual requirements, and claims procedures
  • Coordinate directly with insurers to place coverage, handle insurer queries, and follow up on post-sales documentation including claims and endorsements
  • Ensure compliance with MAS regulations by maintaining all necessary documentation and adhering to licensing requirements as a MAS General Insurance broker
  • Maintain up-to-date renewal information and client interactions in the CRM system to support sales and client management processes
  • Collaborate with internal brokers and sales teams to support business growth and client retention
  • Work independently and remotely between client meetings, demonstrating proactive problem-solving and effective communication with managers and clients

Required competencies and certifications

  • Licensed MAS General Insurance (GI) broker (as mandated for compliance and regulatory adherence)

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Broking experience of at least 1 year to effectively manage client portfolios and insurer relationships
  • Relevant professional qualifications such as ComGI, PGI, BCP, and HI exams to enhance technical insurance knowledge
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills to ensure accuracy and completeness in client and insurer communications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly articulate insurance concepts and negotiate terms
  • Critical and creative thinking skills to proactively identify solutions and address client needs
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic to manage renewals and client requests efficiently
