The Corporate Finance team
Our Corporate Finance team helps a diverse client base with their M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory needs. This leadership role provides the opportunity to shape the strategy of the practice, work in a dynamic environment, and collaborate with Grant Thornton advisory teams across Singapore and the region.
Senior Associate's responsibilities include:
- Supporting detailed financial analysis and modelling for M&A and capital raising transactions.
- Conducting company valuations using discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions.
- Preparing pitch decks, proposals, presentations, and investment memorandums for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assisting in due diligence by gathering, analysing, and interpreting financial data.
- Conducting company, industry, market, and valuation research.
- Coordinating with leaders on transaction execution, engaging directly with clients, investors, and stakeholders.
Assistant Manager's responsibilities include:
- Leading and reviewing detailed financial analysis and modelling for M&A and capital raising transactions, ensuring accuracy and commercial relevance.
- Taking ownership of endtoend project delivery, including financial modelling, company valuations (DCF, comparables, precedent transactions), preparation of pitch materials and information memorandums, due diligence coordination, and direct liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
- Providing strategic oversight on company, industry, and market research, ensuring analysis is linked to transaction objectives.
- Collaborating closely with stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of corporate finance engagements and providing clear, timely updates.
- Mentoring and supervising junior team members, guiding them on analysis, research, and transaction execution.
- Ensuring quality and consistency across financial models, valuations, and client deliverables.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Recognised Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields.
- Senior Associate: At least 2 years of experience in M&A, preferably within professional services and/or in corporate finance, investment banking, or financial consulting.
- Assistant Manager: At least 4 years of experience in M&A, preferably within professional services and/or in corporate finance, investment banking, or financial consulting, with proven ability to manage transaction workstreams.
- Demonstrated experience engaging directly with external clients and stakeholders.
- Strong financial modelling skills and proficiency with valuation techniques.
- Excellent analytical, problemsolving, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis tools.
- Ability to thrive in a teamoriented, fastpaced environment, coordinating multiple workstreams under tight deadlines.
- Highly detailoriented with strong organisational skills.
