Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated, intellectually curious and detail-oriented Corporate Finance Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with senior team members across live transactions and strategic advisory assignments, gaining hands-on exposure to mergers & acquisitions, capital raising and broader investment banking activities.

Given the lean team environment, analysts are expected to take ownership, think proactively and contribute meaningfully across deal execution, financial analysis, industry research and client deliverables. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop technical, commercial and client-facing skills while gaining exposure to the end-to-end transaction process, from origination to execution and completion.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Analysis and Valuation:

  • Build and maintain financial model to support corporate finance transactions
  • Perform financial modelling, valuation and analytical work, including discounted cash flow analysis, comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis and accretion/dilution analysis
  • Analyse financial and operating performance, key business drivers and transaction considerations to support deal evaluation and strategic decision-making

2. Industry and Market Research:

  • Conduct in-depth industry and company research to support deal evaluation
  • Monitor market developments and industry trends to identify potential opportunities and key sector insights

3. Due Diligence:

  • Support due diligence processes by reviewing financial, operational and commercial information relating to transactions and strategic assignments
  • Analyse and summarise key findings, risks and transaction considerations arising from due diligence reviews
  • Assist in the preparation of due diligence materials, management discussion points and internal evaluation summaries

4. Deal Origination and Execution Support:

  • Participate in the origination of corporate finance mandates, including preparation of high quality marketing materials
  • Assist in the preparation of pitch books, investment memoranda, transaction documentation and other materials
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the business to drive delivery of UOB Kay Hian's platform
  • Participate in live transaction processes, including client discussions, execution coordination and management of transaction-related workstreams where appropriate

5. Administrative and Coordination Tasks:

  • Coordinate meetings, data rooms, and document exchanges during deal execution
  • Maintain organised records of transaction-related materials
  • Deal documentation and internal approvals

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field with, preferably with a minimum Second Class Upper honours or equivalent GPA
  • Less than 2 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, audit, transaction advisory or related fields. Fresh graduates with strong interest in corporate finance are welcome to apply
  • Strong financial modelling, analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and relevant financial databases (e.g. Bloomberg, Capital IQ)
  • Strong intellectual curiosity, commercial awareness and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive attitude with strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple workstreams and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic team environment
