We are looking for a Corporate Development Associate to support the company's new business development and M&A/investment activities across Southeast Asia. This role will work closely with senior management and cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities, evaluate targets, build business cases, and support deal execution through to post-integration tracking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a funnel of new business development, investment, and M&A opportunities aligned with strategic priorities in Southeast Asia.
  • Conduct industry, market, and company research to identify trends, whitespace opportunities, and potential targets/partners.
  • Prepare feasibility studies and investment cases, including valuation, peer benchmarking, and strategic fit analysis.
  • Develop and maintain financial models for potential acquisitions/investments (e.g., scenarios, sensitivities, returns).
  • Perform regular landscape scans and analysis of technologies, startups, and emerging players.
  • Review startup equity investment opportunities and support evaluation/approval processes.
  • Support deal execution activities including due diligence, financial analysis, and negotiation support with acquisition targets.
  • Assist in preparing transaction review papers / approval materials for Senior Management and relevant boards/committees.
  • Track and monitor post-merger integration progress, performance metrics, and recommended management actions.
  • Support other strategic initiatives and ad-hoc projects under the MD's direction (including company strategic events, e.g., regional strategic conference).

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in M&A, Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Deal Advisory, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of valuation and financial analysis (e.g., comparable company analysis, basic accounting).
  • Ability to read and interpret financial statements (BS, P&L, CF) for target companies.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
