Corporate Counsel

Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide legal advisory support to the business and operational functions of the StarHub Group.

• Review, draft, negotiate and advise on commercial agreements and corporate transactions, including telecommunications, ICT and media matters network infrastructure and wholesale arrangements technology implementation and digital transformation projects enterprise and consumer products and services procurement, licensing and leasing matters cloud and managed services agreements and strategic partnerships and other commercial initiatives.

• Work collaboratively with stakeholders across the StarHub Group to ensure compliance with internal policies, corporate governance standards, data protection and cybersecurity requirements, and applicable legal and regulatory obligations.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• LLB (Hons) degree and admission as a qualified lawyer in Singapore or another common law jurisdiction.
• 4 to 6 years of PQE
• Experience in any or a combination of the following areas of law: Commercial/ Corporate/ Telecommunications/ Media/ Information and Communication Technology/ Data Protection and Cybersecurity / Intellectual Property law
• Prior in-house experience in the info-communications, technology or media industry will be an advantage
• Some experience with data protection will be an advantage
• Strong contract drafting and negotiating skills
• Analytical, strategic thinker, pragmatic and solution oriented
• Reliable, self-motivated team player with the ability to work independently
• Responsive, articulate and with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Competent in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace applications.
