Our sector-focused Banking relationship managers provide a single coverage point for multi-national clients. With our global capabilities and footprint, vast expertise, and local knowledge, our Global Network Banking teams connect clients to the products and services that meet their international financial needs.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Corporate Banking Manager.

If selected as the role holder, you are expected to work with a senior relationship manager and manage a portfolio of Global Network Banking (GNB) clients, and acquire, retain, and grow new Global Network Banking clients customer relationships for HSBC while adhering to the Group values, business strategy, operational policies, regulatory requirements and risk management practices. GNB is a critical segment to Corporate Institutional Banking (CIB) and this position is required to maximize the value of these relationships internationally by working closely with group offices and product partners.

In this role you will:

• Building existing and acquiring new quality relationships with the customers we want to bank, coherent with GNB's strategy to be the leading global bank.
• Drive and proactively grow revenues, as well as increase wallet share, by identifying business leads across all product groups.
• Be a trusted advisor and partner with the client's key decision makers.
• Work closely with Global Relationship Bankers, sector leads and product partners, as well as stakeholders.
• Maximizing returns on asset growth whilst ensuring sound risk taking and credit quality.
• Monitor their client portfolio regularly to ensure that the return is commensurate with the risk profile of the client. Take timely and proactive corrective action to mitigate potential losses and maximize profitability.
• Uphold the highest level of integrity and act as a role model for all HSBC values and business principles.

To be successful you will need:

• Proven experience in managing large client relationships, including competencies in banking solutions and products, knowledge of international markets and regulatory environment.
• Ability to innovate and deliver creative and flexible customer solutions.
• Good credit analytical and financial skills.
• Interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• To keep abreast of current affairs and global developments.
• Ability to plan and organize, with an eye for detail.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
