Our Corporate Bank Technology team is a global team of 3000 coders (and growing!) across 30 countries. The primary businesses that Corporate Bank support are Cash Management, Securities Services, Trade Finance and Trust & Agency Services. CB Technology support these businesses through CIO aligned teams and also by horizontals such as Client Connectivity, Surveillance and Regulatory, Infrastructure, Architecture, Production, and Risk & Control.

About the Team

Core Banking: Core Banking and Client Statements has an end-to-end responsibility for application development and management of the respective application portfolio. The portfolio covers Core Products that GTB offers to its international clients like DDA/Cash Accounts, Core Banking, Liquidity, Payments Processing and Clearing and F/X payments globally. It is also the global cash settlement platform for all other business lines.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and oversight to the outsourced/inhouse infra operations team.

  • Drive stability in Linux/Unix operations, implementing best in class ITIL practices.

  • Ensure 24X7 availability of service through proactive monitoring and response to critical issues in a timely manner

  • Ownership of processes and governance around software license management, assets management, middleware upgrades and technology refresh activities.

  • Drive effective change and release management practices to ensure uninterrupted service operations and availability

  • Review and improve operational processes including BCM/DR solutions.

  • Able to drive key projects and initiatives to deliver the change book of work.

  • Oversight of day to day and routine operations activities for compliance with ops manuals, golden rules, best practices. Drive rigor on handoffs, health checks and Manager on Duty Activities.

  • Manage escalations and ensure they are resolved in a timely manner.

  • Work with Application teams to provide solutions to LINUX/UNIX OS needs, Filesystem and performance related issues.

  • Collaborate with global virtual Linux/unix teams and be able to manage Linux/UNIX servers across the multiple location in APAC.

  • Drive incident calls effectively to quick resolution, followed up with robust problem management activities to minimize risks in the environment.

  • Identify areas for automation and self-help, and work closely with stakeholders and colleagues in improving the maturity of operations.

  • Drive optimization of infra operations processes that can improve performance, identify trends, threats in systems and skills

  • Proactive review that SLAs are fit for purpose and introduce new measures to improve the service and address key pain points or gaps.

Your skills and experience:

  • IT Service Management, IT Governance or IT Project Management background.

  • Banking / Financial industry Exposure is a plus.

  • Business Risk audits experience is needed

  • Strong team player who also can work under pressure, independently and proactively while balancing competing priorities to achieve results on complex new development and integrations.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, highly organized and disciplined.

  • Experienced in working with multiple stakeholders. Ability to create and naturally maintain good business relationships with all stakeholders.

  • Comfortable working in VUCA (Volatility Uncertainty Complexity Ambiguity) and highly dynamic environments.

  • As infrastructure specialist must have following technical skills

- Linux (SuSE/RHEL/OEL)

- AIX (optional)

- Virtualization technology - Solaris Zones, Linux on VMware virtual

machines

- VERITAS Clustering Products (VCS)

- MQ installation, MQ queues and channel setup experience

- DR activities

- Shell scripting

- Control M/scheduling tool experience

  • Reasonable understanding and relevant experience in Agile-Scrum delivery and main tools (Jira & Confluence)

  • 10-12+ years of work experience in IT.

  • Experience in banking domain specially in payment business is advantage.
