Shape the long-term strategy of one of Singapore's leading deep tech investment platforms.

We are partnering with a leading government-backed investment organisation to appoint a Corporate & Strategic Planning Lead. This is a high-visibility role supporting senior management in shaping the organisation's long-term strategic direction, enterprise priorities, and corporate planning agenda.

Working closely with investment, corporate, and leadership teams, you will drive strategic initiatives, provide thought leadership on emerging trends, and develop recommendations that influence fund-level strategy, portfolio priorities, and organisational decision-making.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy solving complex strategic problems, influencing senior stakeholders, and operating at the intersection of investment, innovation and public policy.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Lead the development and refinement of long-term corporate and investment platform strategies.
• Shape strategic perspectives on fund positioning, portfolio construction, deployment priorities, and sector strategies.
• Conduct market, competitive, and macroeconomic analysis to identify emerging opportunities and risks.
• Develop strategic recommendations and executive-level presentations for senior management, board, and key stakeholders.

Enterprise Strategy & Transformation

• Lead strategic workstreams supporting enterprise priorities and organisation-wide initiatives.
• Drive cross-functional projects spanning investment, corporate functions, and ecosystem partnerships.
• Support strategic initiatives relating to competitive intelligence, digital transformation, and AI enablement.
• Translate strategic priorities into actionable plans and coordinate execution across multiple stakeholders.

Corporate Planning & Performance Management

• Lead the annual corporate planning process and enterprise workplan development.
• Develop management reporting, performance dashboards, and strategic KPIs.
• Prepare Board and management papers that distil complex issues into clear, decision-ready recommendations.
• Monitor organisational performance against strategic objectives and recommend course corrections where appropriate.

Ideal Background

We are looking for strategic thinkers with approximately 6–7 years (or more) of relevant strategy experience who have demonstrated the ability to lead strategic initiatives and influence senior stakeholders.

Successful candidates should ideally have experience from at least two of the following three environments:

• In-house Corporate Strategy / Corporate Planning / CEO Office
• Management Consulting
• Civil Service / Government / Public Sector Strategy

Candidates who have transitioned from consulting into an in-house strategy role, or from government strategy into corporate strategy, are strongly encouraged to apply.

Experience within venture capital, private equity, sovereign investment organisations, or government-linked investment platforms would be advantageous, but is not essential.

We Are Looking For Individuals Who Have

• Led enterprise-wide strategic planning or corporate strategy initiatives.
• Demonstrated leadership in developing strategic recommendations and driving execution across functions.
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to navigate ambiguity.
• Experience conducting market, industry, and competitive landscape analysis.
• Excellent executive communication skills, including preparing Board, executive committee or senior leadership presentations.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively without direct reporting authority.
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to guide and mentor junior colleagues.

Requirements

• Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
• Approximately 6–7 years or more of experience in corporate strategy, strategic planning, management consulting or similar strategic roles.
• Demonstrated experience leading strategy workstreams or enterprise-level strategic initiatives.
• Strong project management and execution capabilities.
• High level of professionalism, integrity and attention to detail.
