Our client, a leading financial institution in Singapore, is seeking a Corporate Actions Specialist to support the processing of mandatory and voluntary corporate actions across global markets. This role supports booking centres in Singapore and Hong Kong and is suitable for candidates with strong experience in securities operations, corporate actions processing, and SWIFT messaging.
Key Responsibilities
- Process mandatory and voluntary corporate actions across multiple markets and asset classes
- Review and manage inbound and outbound SWIFT MT56x / MT54x messages
- Perform position reconciliation and entitlement calculations accurately and within market deadlines
- Monitor confirmations and ensure timely and correct postings
- Identify, investigate, and resolve reconciliation breaks to mitigate operational risk
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, custodians, agents, and brokers
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and system enhancements when required
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, operational risk standards, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Finance, Banking, Business, or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Corporate Actions, Securities Operations, or Custody Operations
- Strong hands-on experience with mandatory and/or voluntary corporate actions
- Working knowledge of SWIFT corporate actions and settlement messages
- Experience with tax-related reporting, US restricted securities, bond restructuring, or defaulted instruments is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight timelines in a fast-paced environment
