Job Description

Summary

Apple is looking for a skilled and collaborative Network Provisioner to support our Asia Pacific carrier and infrastructure operations. In this role, you will serve as a key liaison between Apple's Networking Deployment, Implementation and Operations teams, regional carrier partners, and internal tooling and development organizations.

Description

You will coordinate and facilitate efforts for network augments and migrations, helping ensure seamless regional connectivity that supports Apple's global mission. This is a high impact, cross functional role that requires both strong technical acumen and exceptional communication skills to support our regional partners and stakeholders effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate regional network deployments for new connectivity and augment and migration planning between internal operations teams and external carrier partners, ensuring alignment on timelines, scope, and execution.
  • Partner with tooling and development teams to enhance and optimize existing operational tools, translating field needs into actionable product improvements.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for APAC carrier deployments, facilitating clear communications from planning through delivery and into test and turn up. This role is expected to maintain internal order and circuit delivery documentation, status and escalation paths for regional initiatives, as well as track carrier performance according to scope of work and lead times.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in network operations including technical project coordination and handling of carrier relations.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex, cross functional programs across multiple teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data informed approach to decision making.
  • Technical experience delivering Wave services through external carrier or telecommunications partners, including familiarity with unprotected vs. protected wavelength circuits and backup path configurations.
  • Working knowledge delivering Ethernet services through external carrier or telecommunications partners, including switched vs. dedicated configurations.
  • Ability to interpret carrier KMZ and critically review the scope of work for potential roadblocks and design risks like shared fate.
  • Partner and colocation facility provider knowledge, including an understanding of campus and extended cross connects, meet-me room (MMR) access, carrier-neutral interconnection options, diverse entry points, and the range of physical connectivity choices available within a colocation environment
  • Manage end-to-end service delivery of network circuits across multiple projects by coordinating and tracking both carrier milestones and internal workflow progress to ensure timely completion.
  • Networking knowledge of how physical and logical end-to-end connectivity is established from cross connects and carrier handoffs through to IP addressing, and routing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with network augmentation planning, capacity management, or infrastructure migrations.
  • Familiarity with operational tooling platforms and ability to translate operational needs into tool requirements for engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with submarine cable systems and terrestrial backhaul and ability to review carrier circuit designs which incorporate these components.
  • Background in a technology company or global telecom environment.
  • Experience facilitating cross cultural communication across geographically distributed teams.
  • Knowledge of regional carriers and partner facilities (including data centers), network access points and carrier-neutral colocation facilities.
  • Familiarity with (and ability to review) cage/rack elevations and layouts for designing and maintaining physical diversity within data centers and colocation facilities.
  • Network operational knowledge to facilitate augments and migration planning in partnership with network engineering teams.
  • Ability to develop and partner with Tooling & Development teams to continually improve internal tools
  • CCNA or similar certifications is preferred
