About the Job

At LiGHT YEARS, we are seeking a highly skilled Copywriter & Content Strategist to join our Creative Team. This role involves conceptualising, developing, and producing compelling textual content for campaigns and collaterals across social media, advertisements, events, and activations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the digital media landscape and experience in digital marketing.

As a digital native, you will have a keen sense of emerging trends and platforms. You should be a natural storyteller capable of crafting engaging narratives that resonate with diverse audiences, from Gen Alpha to older demographics. Your attention to detail ensures that all content is polished and error-free, with a focus on beautiful writing.

The Copywriter & Content Strategist will be responsible for
  • Providing a clear understanding of objectives and required work from creative briefs to ensure alignment with client goals.
  • Working closely with cross-disciplinary internal teams to generate innovative ideas and concepts that fulfil clients briefs.
  • Providing clear directions to junior and middleweight creative teams on projects, ensuring cohesive and effective execution.
  • Effectively presenting concepts to internal teams and clients, communicating the value and strategy behind each idea.
  • Familiarising yourself with clients products/services, target audience, industry trends and competitors activities to build strong client relationships and deliver creative, tailored solutions.
  • Writing clear, persuasive, and compelling copy that meets clients briefs and resonates with their target audience.
  • Oversee campaigns from production to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality output.
  • Executing work on multiple campaigns as required and adapting to feedback from creative teams, account teams, or clients to continuously improve outcomes.
  • Sharing insights on social media, new platforms, and emerging tech with colleagues to inspire creative ideas and foster innovation.
  • Lead the development of post-campaign reports, with actionable insights and executable recommendations, with the goal of elevating the quality of output. 

In this role, we are looking for someone with
  • At least 2 years of experience in a communications/copywriting role in a PR, marketing or creative agency.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering excellent campaigns that meet client objectives.
  • Ability to write original, impactful copy in various styles with accurate spelling and grammar.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Good time management and organisation with attention to detail to meet deadlines and deliver quality work.
  • Outstanding command of the English language, both written and spoken.
  • High level of personal credibility, dependability, and accountability.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage critical situations effectively.
  • Passion for the work and dedication to continually improving and refining your craft.

Good to have
  • Basic understanding of SEO principles and content marketing strategies to enhance content effectiveness
  • Familiarity with content management systems and digital tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Basic understanding of the creative services, media, and events sectors to provide context and insights for client projects.
