Job Description

Reporting to the Centre Supervisor, you will work collaboratively to support the daily operations of the assigned Active Ageing Centre (AAC), ensuring its activities and services align with the objectives set by funders and Loving Heart (LH).

Responsibilities:

1. Programme Facilitation

  • Assist in the management of AAC membership including recruitment, publicity, registration, and retention.
  • Plan, organise, execute programmes and activities within and beyond the centre to engage seniors.
  • Curation of poster for dissemination via social media and manage registration.

2. Social Support & Community Engagement

  • Provide befriending and buddying services to frail and vulnerable elderly in their homes.
  • Plan and coordinate community screening efforts for elders in the community.
  • Serve as a social connector, supporting seniors in adhering to health plan recommendations through social and lifestyle interventions.
  • Conduct community outreach and assess the needs of elderly residents within the designated service area

3. Centre Operations

  • Assist with engagement programme and service administration, operations, and logistics.
  • Ensure the environmental safety and hygiene of activity areas.
  • Ensure that all equipment is in good operational condition.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by the reporting officer

4. Administrative & Reporting Duties

  • Enrol new members, maintain accurate attendance records, and compile data or statistics when required.
  • Manage invoicing, fee collection, cash handling etc.
  • Manage and guide volunteers in executing programme activities.
  • Assist with audit preparations and documentation.
  • Generate reports and prepare documentation when required.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification in eldercare or social services
  • At least 1 year of experience in direct operational roles, especially in eldercare, including programme facilitation and needs assessment
  • Experience in stakeholder management, particularly with community partners
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong administrative and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills team-oriented yet capable of working independently
  • Enjoys engaging with seniors and volunteers.
