Job Description
The Marketing Coordinator supports the Senior Manager, Strategic Marketing in executing regional marketing initiatives and communications, as well as the VP of Regional BD and the business development team with coordination and administrative support activities. This role contributes to increasing brand visibility across the maritime markets, supporting industry engagement initiatives, and assisting in the preparation of targeted communication and business development materials that align corporate objectives with sector strategy.
What You Will Do:
- Supports the implementation of an effective marketing strategy as directed by the Senior Manager Strategic Marketing aligned with business sector campaigns and corporate branding guidelines.
- Assist in the planning and coordinating industry engagement activities including maritime conferences, technical seminars, trade exhibitions, client workshops, and networking events to strengthen market presence.
- Provide administrative and coordination support to the regional business development team, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and coordinating client visits.
- Assist in preparing marketing and business development materials such as presentations, proposal documents, brochures, and digital content to support client engagement and business development initiatives.
- Conduct basic market research to monitor competitors and understand target audience needs.
- Assists in the development and implementation of marketing campaigns and communications.
- Collaborate with the regional/wider marketing team to create promotional materials, graphics and content for social media and internal newsletters.
- Support the preparation of reports and summaries on marketing activities, campaign performance and business development updates.
- Assist with logistics and coordination for marketing campaigns, events and client engagements including registration, material preparation, and post-event follow-up.
- Maintain organized records of marketing assets, business development documentation and event materials for internal reference and reuse.
- Provide general administrative support to marketing and business development activities.
- Liaises with vendors of print, production, graphics, promotional materials and trade show services.
- Responsible for demonstrating a commitment to total quality and the process of continuous improvement, identifying and responding actively and with sensitivity to the needs of clients and being open and responsive to change.
What You Will Need:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related discipline preferred, although extensive industry experience in related areas may also be considered appropriate preparation.
- Previous experience in marketing-related positions.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- A sound working knowledge of all elements within MS Office is essential. Experience with graphics and HTML programs is beneficial.
- Ability to write, edit and produce promotional material.
- Strong interpersonal and team skills.
- Must be able to assume a high level of individual responsibility.
- Professional creativity and flexibility are essential.
- Familiarity with the marine, offshore, engineering or quality industries is advantageous.
- Ability to develop a working knowledge of ABS Rules, Guides, statutory regulations, and related instructions, as well as the ABS Employee Safety Policy.
