Job Summary
You will work closely with the kitchen team to prepare and cook food products safely and efficiently, following recipes and company procedures. You will maintain a clean and organized workstation and ensure proper handling and storage of ingredients.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to complete food production tasks according to company procedures and food safety policies
- Prepare workstation with required ingredients and equipment, maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the shift
- Measure and prepare ingredients accurately following recipes and guidelines to ensure consistent food quality
- Operate combi oven and perform steaming and other basic cooking tasks to prepare food products
- Tag, date-label, cover, store, and rotate ingredients properly to maintain freshness and safety
- Monitor food inventory levels and restock items promptly to support continuous production
- Clean and sanitize utensils and equipment regularly to meet hygiene standards
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of kitchen production experience
- Strong understanding of food preparation fundamentals to support safe and efficient cooking
- Ability to follow recipes accurately to produce consistent food products
- Knowledge of food hygiene principles and prevention of foodborne illnesses
- Basic mathematical skills to measure ingredients and manage inventory
- Proficient knife handling skills for ingredient preparation
- Willingness to work a 6-day work week with Sundays and public holidays off
