Our client is in the Japanese F&B industry and is seeking a Cook to join their team.
【 Responsibilities 】
- Handle a wide range of raw fish and other ingredients.
- Bake, grill, steam, and deep-fry meats, vegetables, fish, poultry, and other food items.
- Prepare ingredients for menu items and ensure adequate quantities to minimise wastage.
- Ensure food portions and presentation meet the company's standards.
- Ensure all ingredients and finished products are fresh.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as required.
- Pack and label sashimi products.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including utensils, equipment, and dishes.
- Handle and store ingredients and food at the appropriate temperatures to prevent spoilage.
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Monitor and guide junior team members to ensure quality workmanship and performance.
- Deliver excellent customer service by welcoming and acknowledging customers throughout their dining experience in an open-concept restaurant environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Chef.
【 Requirements & Preferences 】
(Must)
- Possess a valid Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Able to maintain quality, excellent customer service, and cleanliness at all times.
- Maintain good personal hygiene practices.
- Good knowledge of the company's products.
- Possess good communication and teamwork skills.
- Able to work 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM (last order at 8:45 PM, with a daily break of 1.5 to 2 hours).
(Advantage)
- Graduate of a Culinary Course or Culinary Arts Programme.
- Experience working in a Japanese restaurant is an advantage.
