Cook/Chef (Chicken Rice)

• Position: Chicken Rice Chef
• Location: Somerset
• Working hours: 6 days work week
• Salary (commensurate with experience): Up to $3,500 + Performance Bonus
• Duration: Permanent
• Industry: F&B

Main Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook chicken rice according to company standards, ensuring consistency in taste, sauce, presentation, and hygiene quality
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and hygiene standards in the kitchen and work area
• Check and ensure ingredients are fresh and stored properly
• Assist with daily food preparation, including washing, cutting, portioning chicken, cooking chicken and rice, preparing soup, sauces, and side dishes
• Assist with plating chicken rice, soup, and side dishes during peak hours
• Complete all food preparation before opening and replenish ingredients during operating hours
• Work closely with the Head Chef/Sous Chef to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations
• Follow portion control and minimise wastage to help control food costs

Requirements:

• Possess a valid Food Hygiene Certificate
• Relevant kitchen/cook experience is required
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
