We are looking for a manager to oversee the Conventional Trucking Department, responsible for supervising new and current prime mover/lorry crane/trailer drivers during daily operations, conducting operations training and administering all related documentation and communication within the assigned team.
Duties and Responsibilities
. Ensure all work processes are in accordance with ISO standards and adhere to MOM mandatory requirements.
. Lead and manage a team of controllers and customer service executives.
. Maintain and enhance business relationships with customers.
. Support the OSH programme and make safety and health a part of the daily routine, ensuring that safe work methods and relevant regulations are followed.
. Conduct operational performance reviews.
. Attend management and customer meetings.
. Oversee the daily operations to ensure smooth processes.
. Review and update SOP to ensure that they reflect the current procedures.
. Resolve day-to-day operational issues with the staff and follow up with customers.
. Review the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs) and Risk Assessments (RAs) and implement process improvement/systems.
. Monitor and review department's P&L.
. Lead and manage admin and drivers team KPI.
. Other ad hoc duties assigned by HOD.
Qualification and Education Requirements:
. Diploma/Degree
. 5 years experience in transportation operations
. Experience with TMS (Transportation Management System), Portnet, Jurong Port and port procedures and processes.
. Well-versed Microsoft Office skills: Power point Presentation, Excel & Word.
. Good communication skills (both verbal and written) and excellent organizational abilities.
. Capable to work independently.
. Able to work under pressure and willing to take responsibility and accountability of their role.
. Capable of identifying and suggesting improvements for the company vision and department objectives.
