Job Description

Jurong Port's multipurpose port operating expertise includes efficient handling of general, bulk and containerized cargo, management and operations of the Tuas Offshore Marine Centre, and Lighter Terminals in Penjuru and Marina South. Besides Singapore, Jurong Port is involved in overseas joint ventures in China and Indonesia. In 2016, Jurong Port's local and overseas terminals handled close to 35 million tons of general and bulk cargo, and 560,000 TEUs of container cargo.

SOP Review and Contracts Management

. Conduct regular reviews of SOP adherence and ensure processes are aligned with established guidelines and requirements for MPT Pillar.
. Monitor and assess compliance with approved SOPs, and work with stakeholders to address gaps and implement corrective actions
. Track and measure contractors performances in accordance with the agreed terms and conditions. Work with dept members/colleagues and contractors to ensure service failures are rectified.
. Verify data provided by contractors.
. Maintain register of SOPs and Contracts and tracking their expiry to ensure timely renewal

Project Management

  • Support and coordinate ad-hoc and ongoing projects driven by business requirements.
  • Prepare project costings, milestones proposal and timeline mapping (Gantt charts)
  • Track milestones, timelines, and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or risks, and proactively escalate issues where necessary.
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, document discussions, and follow up on action items.
  • Liaise with stakeholders across departments to gather inputs, consolidate requirements, and ensure alignment.
  • Perform data analysis and provide insights to support decision-making and project implementation as well as formulating proposals for solutioning.
  • Prepare presentation of projects status to dept head with regular updates on progress
  • Anticipate changes and address any changes required to project development timely
  • Maintain flexibility to support new initiatives and evolving business priorities

Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma in Business Studies with 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Patient, Meticulous and attention to details.
  • Proactive and comfortable in posing questions and receiving constructive feedback.
  • Critical thinking to effectively analyze information and contribute to problem solving.
