Job Description

  • The Manager will be pivotal to providing general support to the overall project management group for the preparations and tracking of project reports, tenders, administration, financial progress.
  • Assist to ensure that reporting is accurate and timely as provided by PM.
  • Prepare, review to manage front end development costing and estimates for feasibility studies and proposals.
  • Ability to interpret Architectural and Engineering drawings/ specifications for project costing. Identify technical gaps and raise stakeholder concern for better accuracy of costing.
  • Measurement of quantities and formation of Schedule of Works and/or Bill of Quantities.
  • Able to drive and lead tender E2E process includes scope demarcation, formation of tender documents, evaluation of bids, conduct tender interviews/ clarifications, addendum managements and award recommendations.
  • Risks assessment and governance are required throughout pre and post contract of each project or program.
  • Prepare various contracts, nominated sub-contracts and consultancy agreement with proper assessment of provision and clauses stated or to be infused. This including consolidates contract documents include necessary liaison across department, Client and/or other stakeholders.
  • Ensure contract compliances is satisfied contractually and technically upon award and ensure is conducted within the boundaries with full compliance to Employer Requirements and Meinhardt Standards.
  • Attend project site or CCM meeting at frequency that in accordance with project basis.
  • Ability to costing and contractual advice towards Client and Management.
  • Assess variation costs to market range, prepare interim valuations for contractor's progress claim coupled with remeasurement as and when necessary.
  • Verify price submissions for new scope and/ or variations as par to contracted or market fair price at justifiable basis.
  • Understand and adhere to the statutory building regulations.
  • Undertake cost analysis for variations with presentable reporting internally reporting to line manager, Meinhardt Management, Client and related stakeholders.
  • To produce monthly cost report and financial cash flow on project basis.
  • Value and verify completed work done and make reasonable payment recommendation upon satisfaction.
  • Highlight of forecast problems and escalate for next course of action and way forward.
  • Able to resolve problems with quick turnaround. Always provide solution instead of problem statement.
  • All rounded and good analytical thinking.
  • Keep proper filling record of all documentations under Company Server for audit compliance.
  • Drive with contractual disputes and claims and recommend realistic solutions for consideration.
  • Sourcing and recommendation of potential contractors and market suppliers in expanding vendor pool.
  • Undertake QS scope of services from FEED stage to pre and post contract. This includes reconciliation of project final accounting.
  • Be involved in pre-qualification process.
  • To ensure work compliance with Company ISO Quality Procedure Manual and Practice.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as and when required or attend ad-hoc matters assigned by Superior.
