Job Description
- Manage all aspects of contracts, including recommending awards, preparing Letters of Award and Contract Documents, overseeing contract documentation, schedules, and project cost estimation, and preparing and analyzing cost comparisons to optimize project budgeting.
- Lead and review quantity take-offs, comparisons, and subcontractor/supplier award processes.
- Review variation order requests, defend claims, and provide contractual advice.
- Monitor contracts, negotiate final account settlements, draft settlement agreements, and handle additional payment claims and EOT.
- Manage the resolution of contractual claims throughout various project stages, ensuring the timely submission of Progress Claim, variations claim, and finalization of the main contract final account
- Oversee issuance of Sub-Contract and Payment Response in a timely manner.
- Attend monthly progress meeting, monitor and report status of contracts and procurement activities.
- Ensure subcontract commitments and milestones are achieved by liaising with Project Team members.
- Establishing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), overseeing work progress, and providing mentorship, advice, and guidance to ensure optimal performance of the QS department.
Requirements
- Degree in Commercial Management/ Quantity Surveying
- At least 5 years working experience in handling local railway, tunnel (MRT), and other infrastructure projects and minimum 3 years in managerial role.
- Possess strong knowledge of market demands and pricing
- Experience in the sub-contract award process.
