We are looking for a highly experienced Contract Manager to provide strong commercial and contractual leadership across large-scale building projects. This role is pivotal in safeguarding contractual entitlements, driving positive cash flow, and ensuring commercial discipline from tender stage through project completion.
You will work closely with senior management, project teams, consultants, and stakeholders to manage risk, resolve issues, and support successful project delivery on high-value developments.
Tender & Contract Leadership
Lead and manage the full spectrum of the tender process, including contractual review, risk identification, and commercial strategy.
Review, interpret, and advise on contract documents to ensure clarity, compliance, and protection of commercial interests.
Provide contract strategy input during tender and post-award stages.
Commercial & Financial Management
Manage cost, change, and claims processes, ensuring timely identification and substantiation of contractual entitlements.
Monitor and control project budgets, contract revenue, and cash flow to support healthy financial performance.
Track variations, claims, and cost impacts to minimize commercial exposure and maximize recovery.
Negotiation & Stakeholder Management
Participate in and lead commercial negotiations with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
Initiate, draft, and manage formal contractual correspondences with stakeholders to support claims, instructions, and dispute avoidance.
Act as a key point of contact for contractual matters, ensuring alignment across project teams.
Governance & Compliance
Ensure contractual compliance and conformance with Standard Forms of Contract (PSSCOC / SIA / REDAS).
Advise project teams on contract law, SOP Act requirements, and dispute resolution strategies.
Proactively manage contractual risks and support dispute avoidance and resolution efforts.
Degree in Building, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent.
Minimum 12 years of relevant experience, with at least 4 years in a Contract Manager or similar senior role.
Strong background in Quantity Surveying with proven commercial acumen.
In-depth knowledge of PSSCOC, SIA, and REDAS forms of contract.
Solid understanding of contract law, SOP Act, and dispute resolution.
