Role and responsibilities Seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead critical application development and modernization initiatives within our Risk and Credit domain. This role is pivotal in driving the transformation of our banking systems, managing complex projects that modernize legacy applications while implementing cutting-edge solutions. The ideal candidate will combine strong project management expertise with deep knowledge of Risk and Credit systems, and a proven track record in leading application development projects in the financial services sector.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
. Lead end-to-end project lifecycle for application development and modernization initiatives
. Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timeline, budget, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies
. Manage multiple concurrent projects ranging from legacy system modernization to new application development
. Coordinate cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, QA engineers, and infrastructure specialists
. Ensure project delivery within agreed timelines, budget, and quality standards
. Agile environment
Risk & Credit Domain Leadership
. Drive Risk and Credit system enhancement projects, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements
. Collaborate with Risk and Credit business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
. Oversee implementation of credit scoring models, risk assessment tools, and exposure management systems
. Ensure compliance with Basel III, IFRS 9, and local regulatory frameworks
Stakeholder Management
. Interface with senior stakeholders including C-level executives and department heads
. Prepare and present project status reports, dashboards, and executive briefings
. Manage vendor relationships and oversee third-party deliverables
. Facilitate steering committee meetings and decision-making processes any any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor
Required Qualifications
. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field
. Minimum 7 plus of years of project management experience in financial services
. At least 5 years managing application development and modernization projects
. Proven experience with Risk and Credit systems in banking environment
Technical Competencies
. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and various development methodologies
. Experience with both waterfall and agile project management frameworks
. Knowledge of modern technology stacks including Java, .NET, microservices, and cloud platforms
. Understanding of database technologies, data migration, and integration patterns
. Familiarity with project management tools (JIRA, MS Project, Confluence)
Domain Knowledge
. Deep understanding of Risk Management frameworks and methodologies
. Expertise in Credit lifecycle including origination, underwriting, monitoring, and collections
. Knowledge of regulatory requirements
. Understanding of market risk, credit risk, and operational risk concepts
. Experience with risk analytics, stress testing, and capital adequacy calculations
Preferred Qualifications
. Master's degree in Business Administration, Technology, or Finance
. Agile/Scrum certification (CSM, SAFe, or equivalent)
. Experience with digital transformation in traditional banking environments
