Contract Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities, including tendering, supplier selection, and subcontractor awards.

• Oversee project contract implementation and post-contract administration.

• Review subcontractor quotations for completeness and compliance with project requirements.

• Prepare cost estimates, monitor project budgets, and implement cost control measures.

• Manage variation orders, cost evaluations, and contract administration.

• Support the Project Team to deliver projects within cost, quality, and schedule targets.

• Manage and supervise the QS team on project tenders and contractual matters.

• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to QS staff.

• Liaise with Project Director, Construction Director, and Contracts Director to resolve contractual issues or disputes.

• Handle claims, complaints, and dispute settlements in accordance with contract conditions.

• Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers on pricing and contractual terms.

• Evaluate and maintain the company's list of approved subcontractors and suppliers.

• Manage purchasing processes and support project procurement activities.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Building, or Quantity Surveying with minimum 5 years of experience,
  OR Diploma in Civil Engineering, Building, or Quantity Surveying with minimum 10 years of experience.

• Strong understanding of SIA Conditions of Contract and PSSCOC (Public Sector Standard Conditions of Contract).

• Experience in contract administration, procurement, and cost management for construction projects.

• Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under pressure.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
